Bringing Insight and Control Across Your Existing Data Systems
Culemborg, Netherlands, 7 April 2026 – Assai today announced the launch of Assai Enterprise, a new solution designed to help organisations ensure their engineering data reflects real-world operations and maintain control across their systems.
Engineering and asset-intensive environments are becoming increasingly complex, with more systems, more data, and more stakeholders involved. These systems are expected to stay aligned. Over time, however, they drift apart, resulting in rework, delays, and increasing risk and cost. For example, a change approved in engineering documentation may not be reflected in maintenance systems or asset data, even though teams assume the update is complete.
Assai Enterprise addresses this challenge. In practice, approved updates are not consistently applied across systems such as document management systems, maintenance management systems, and asset registers. This creates a disconnect between what has been approved and what has actually been implemented.
Assai defines this as the engineering gap.
Existing solutions address parts of this problem. Integration tools move data, workflow tools track activities, and data quality tools identify inconsistencies. However, none ensure that updates are fully carried through across all affected systems, leaving organisations without a reliable way to confirm data completeness and correctness.
Assai Enterprise acts as a control layer across existing systems, spanning engineering, asset, and maintenance environments. It gives organisations visibility into cross-system dependencies and control over how updates are carried through. It does not replace existing tools but ensures they remain aligned.
Built on the Assai Data Platform, Assai Enterprise connects documents, asset data, and engineering objects into a contextualised data layer, enabling organisations to identify dependencies and act on them. Capabilities include cross-system impact analysis, update tracking and coordination, completeness verification, and audit-ready reporting.
For each approved update, Assai Enterprise identifies the affected systems and data and coordinates the required changes across teams and platforms.
This is particularly valuable in environments where completeness and correctness are critical, such as project handover, operational modifications, audit readiness, and digital or AI initiatives.
By ensuring reliable data across systems, Assai Enterprise reduces rework, improves auditability, accelerates handover, and increases confidence in operational data.
“Most organisations assume their systems reflect what has been approved. Very few can actually prove that those updates actually been applied across all of them,” said Ludo Hertroijs, CEO of Assai. “That is the engineering gap, and Assai Enterprise is designed to help organisations close it.”
Assai Enterprise is designed for asset-intensive organisations operating across complex system landscapes, particularly where compliance, auditability, and operational reliability are critical.
Assai Enterprise is available immediately as a cloud offering.
