Documents requiring maintenance and modifications can be copied so that they have their own lifecycle without affecting the official documents.
As soon as a CE copy is generated, a prefix or a suffix is added to the Document number making them easy to identify. There is a recommended revision structure for CE documents so that they can be easily identified.
Create multiple CE copies when multiple contractors are working on the same master. Each contractor can then make changes to their own copy, with each copy having its own document lifecycle. Set-up auto-notifications to alert other contractors everytime a new contractor copy is created.
Once fully approved, the master document is updated, and the relevant stakeholders (including all contractors) can be automatically notified.
